The
Ocean Protection Coalition
is a community based non-profit group originally formed to prevent offshore oil drilling off the Mendocino Coast.
The coast now faces many threats besides the ever-looming "big oil" - industrial energy installations, coastal access closures, Navy war testing, CO2 / acidification, climate change, the Pacific trash gyre - the list goes on.
